Food & Drink

We are a Zero Waste festival. You will be asked to take all your rubbish home. Bring your own cutlery, bowls, large and small plates, cups, water bottles and your handy bag to carry it around. There will be wash up stations on site.

Our food vendors will be providing nutritious and delicious food options throughout the weekend and we encourage you to support these wonderful small local businesses.

You're welcome to bring your own food but please do not light any fires for safety reasons we only have fire safety keepers for designated areas. BBQs are also prohibited. Small camping stoves are allowed in the camping area

There are drinking water points available throughout the site and we encourage you to have a reusable water bottle. However, they are from the mains water, it is a farm and if water is running in all areas it can effect the pressure so therefore you may like to bring a few litres of your own spring water for ease.

Safe-Guarding

Photography and filming

We will be filming and taking photography throughout the weekend. We ask that you do not post other people's children and post without permission on social media. If you do not want to be featured on social media, please advise us via email at info@consciousbuddycommunity.com. Please do not photograph people in process within any of the workshops.

Nudity Policy

This is a family-friendly festival and while we are not averse to nudity, after all we were born naked, there is still a sensitivity around it in regards to suitability in an all-inclusive festival to provide a safe space and environment for all people from diverse backgrounds and so we ask that full nudity within the festival setting is respected as a non nudity policy.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

This is a sober and drug free event, this includes any mind altering substances that can cause a psychedelic effect. We ask you respect the nature of these powerful medicines whether in plant form or synthetic and for them to not be used in a recreational way at Back To The Roots. We especially ask that you do not share or sell them to any other participant, this could have quite negative repercussions, so please be mindful in how you are relating to these medicines. If anyone does become stuck or over consumes by accident we have trained psychotherapists and mental health specialists on site that can hold space for them safely. Please do make us aware of this if this is something you observe.

Special Care

We understand festivals and large crowds can feel overwhelming and with many holistic practices throughout the weekend it could bring up anxiety and confusion. Please know there are people onsite that can assist you into spaces that are quiet and more soothing which can help calm the nervous system.

Firewalking workshop

To be printed and signed to take to Claire your firewall instructor at the time of the workshop.

FAQs

Can I bring pets to the gathering?

As long as your pet remains on a lead, is well behaved and you clean up after them the you're welcome to bring your pet. Walk them in the woodland away from the festival site to avoid them soiling in the main festival site. You cannot take your dog into a workshop with you or leave them unattended whilst you do. This is a summer festival so leaving your dog in a car wont be accepted and if we feel your dog is in distress we will ask you to leave the site to take them somewhere more comfortable for them.

What should I bring?

Please remember to bring a yoga mat, blanket, cushion, water bottle, swimwear and a towel if you have booked into an ice bath & sauna experience and a torch if you’re camping.

Will there be a cash machine facility?

Most areas will have card machines and others will be cash only. There are no cash machines on site, so please bring along enough cash for the weekend.
